Covid-19 changes to Bright Times
Over the last year, Bright Times has sadly had to close its doors a few times due to the pandemic we find ourselves in.
I am hoping to be able to re-open soon, but due to our current situation with Covonavirus Bright Times has had to make some changes to enable this to happen.
New Rules for Bright Times
Parents will need to adhere to the following set of rules in order to bring their children to a Bright Times Session.
😷 Face masks:-
All parents will need to wear a face mask over their mouth and nose for the duration of the Bright Times Session. Masks can be removed, whilst sitting down and consuming food and drink. Parents exempt from wearing a face mask must wear a lanyard of confirmation. Children will not need to wear Face masks.
👨 ⬅️ 1 metre ➡️ 👩 Staying Socially Distant:-
All adults will need to stay socially distant (at least one metre apart). Children will not need to stay socially distant from each other.
🤒 🤧 🥱 Coronavirus Symptoms:-
Parents will not be able to attend a Bright Times session if they or their children show any of the following symptoms which have been taken from WWW.NHS.UK:
A High Temperature - This means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
A new, continuous cough - This means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
A loss or change to your sense of Smell or Taste - This means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.
Most people with Coronavirus have at least 1 of these symptoms.
👏 🧼 Washing and Hand Sanitising:-
Adults and Children will need to Sanitise their hands regularly and Wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before they consume food and drink.
Frequently Asked Questions about How Covid-19 has affected Bright Times
Due to Coronavirus Bright Times, like so many businesses has had to make some changes in order to survive in these unprecedented times.
Below are some frequently asked questions about the changes and reasons Bright Times has had to make these changes.
1. When will Bright Times be on?
Bright Times will be Re-Opening when the government guidelines change, I am hoping this will be before Easter 2021.
Please see Book Themes for the days and times of the sessions.
3. How do you clean the toys between sessions?
Bright Times has a on site fogging machine which will be used after each session to disinfect the toys. The disinfectant is safe to use in children’s settings.
4. Will we still get a drink and a biscuit half way through the Bright Times session?
Yes Adults will still be able to have a hot drink.
Bright Times will supply china mugs that have been washed in a Dishwasher on a very high heat setting, then kept in a disinfected storage box until the next session. All teaspoons will be cleaned in the same way.
Children's cups will also be washed in the above way and a supply of water and squash will be available for refills.
Biscuits will still be available, but I will be handing the children and adults their biscuits myself using blue food gloves to avoid contact.
I will also be pre filling the the teas, coffees and children's squashes at break time, this will help to reduce any cross contamination.
5. I have a loyalty card, which I purchased before Lockdown, can I still use it?
Yes. All Loyalty cards will be extended by 3 months, from the day of re-opening.
However once the Loyalty cards are used up, Bright Times will not be offering this service again, until we can re-open all 3 sessions at normal capacity.
6. Will there be toilets available on site?
Yes, we would ask that only the Disabled toilets are used during your visit to help minimise the amount of cleaning that will need to be completed by Bright Times before and after each session.
7. Will you provide hand sanitising stations around the hall?
Yes, there will be numerous hand sanitising stations around the hall for everyone’s use and Bright Times encourages you to use these as often as you can.
8. Do I need to pre-book?
Yes, it is ESSENTIAL you pre-book your Childs space as there is a very limited number of spaces available each week, due to social distancing guidelines.
9. How do I pay?
In order to make the re-opening of Bright Times financially viable, we will be asking all parents to pre-pay for their Childs space when they book.
This can be paid via a PayPal link, I will send this to you when you book your Childs space or you can choose to book and pay for your Childs space for the following weeks session at the end of the class you are attending.
Unfortunately, we will not be taking cash payments due to the current pandemic, but I have a card machine that will accept all forms of card payments and is contactless or can be used with chip and pin.
If you have pre-paid for a session and then cannot come due to showing symptoms of Coronavirus, then please get in contact and we I can book you onto another session after you have self isolated for 2 weeks or taken a test and received a negative result.
Unfortunately, Bright Times cannot transfer your payment to another session for any other reasons, due to commitments with hall fees, etc.
10. Can I bring another Parent or Grandparent along to Bright Times?
Unfortunatley due to only allowing 30 people in the hall, we can only accept one adult per family.
However, once Bright Times can return to normal, we would love to welcome back extended family again.
